It's interesting to note that the villains often cause their own deaths. Green Goblin tried to kill Spider-Man by impaling him with the Goblin Glider, but he ended up killing himself. Doctor Octopus purposely sacrificed his own life. Eddie Brock's love of the smybiote caused him to get blown up. Electro literally blew himself up.
