Ezekiel Sims is the main antagonist of the 2024 superhero film Madame Web, the fourth installment in the Sony's Spider-Man Universe, which is based on the Marvel comic book character of the same name.

He is an enigmatic man who once went to the Peruvian Amazon Rainforest with Constance Webb, Cassandra Webb's late mother, in the early 1970s to study spiders, where he gained powers such as clairvoyance from a tribe. In 2003, Sims resurfaces and targets three girls named Anya Corazón, Mattie Franklin and Julia Cornwall due foreseeing their potential to become Spider-Women and kill him, leading Cassandra, who has obtained similar powers like his, to step in and save the girls from Sims.

History

Ezekiel Sims was a man by his own claims, came from nothing, and came to a philosophy that the only one that matters is himself and nobody else. In 1973, he was working with the scientist Constantine Webbs and her team to find a special spider in the jungles of Peru. Once Constantine finds it, Ezekiel promptly kills the entire team before inflicting a lethal shot at Constantine and taking the spider to inject its venom onto himself and gain special abilities to crawl on the walls and ceilings. However, for the next 30 years he has been getting visions on his sleep on his life eventually being cut short by 3 Spider-Women confronting him for his crimes that leads to him falling to his death, and so had been using any and all government connections, from dating a government operative to eventually torture information out of her using his paralyzing venom, and also threaten a hacker's life to use advanced technology (by 2003 standards) to visualize the faces that Ezekiel saw in his visions and track who they are in the present and their whereabouts, who are 3 teenaged girls, Anya Corazón, Mattie Franklin and Julia Cornwall.

Unfortunately for Ezekiel, his fears of his future are soon to be realized as back in 1973, Constance was taken in by an indigenous tribe for her to deliver her daughter, who she names Cassandra, before unfortunately dying, and now lives in New York as a paramedic. Like Ezekiel, she too has gotten powers from the spider venom and has the ability to see glimpses of the future. This goes against Ezekiel's favour as Cassie was in the same train as Anya, Mattie and Julia, and foresaw Ezekiel attacking the subway station to kill the girls and tries to take them to safety. Ezekiel then chases after them in his suit, kill his way through 10 police officers to chase after the four but unfortunately loses them.

When his tech assistant tracks the girls down to a diner in New Jersey that night, Ezekiel drives over there to get into his suit and attempt to attack the diner, which Cassie foresaw would end up killing numerous people to kill the 3 girls and herself, and so used the taxi she took to ram Ezekiel and drive the girls off to safety again and have them take refuge in Ben Parker's house. When Ben's sister-in-law, Mary, is in labor and has to be rushed to the hospital to give birth, and everyone in the Parker household had to immediately leave, Ezekiel than tries to bomb the streets the ambulance is going to drive into and even hijack all the traffic lights so that the ambulance can be destroyed. However, Cassie uses another ambulance to ram into Ezekiel, leading to a final confrontation in a fireworks factory, attempting to kill all the 3 girls for the final time. However, Cassie activates webbing powers to save the girls and makes a final stand against Ezekiel, telling him how Cassie was instead her doom than the girls. Ezekiel then falls to the ground and is then promptly crushed to death by a falling Pepsi sign. With Ezekiel's death, Constantine Web is avenged.
