The Amazing Spider-Man

Flash Thompson is a bully who picked on Peter Parker on a daily basis. On one occasion, Flash bullied a classmate and requested Peter Parker to record him forcing the student to eat a vile food product. Peter refused and ordered him to leave the kid alone, something Flash was not content with. Instead, Flash argued back and almost got into a fight with Peter, until the two were interrupted by Gwen Stacy.

Soon afterwards, Flash was practicing for his Basketball game only to go aggressive towards the his teammates and made a mess on a students painting. After the ball was headed towards the student's art project, Peter Parker grabbed it without looking and flash proceeded to confront him. Upon trying to grab it, Flash was stood upon by Peter, after Flash told him he couldn't make a shot in a Basketball game. Infuriated at being proven wrong when Peter made the shot, he tried to steal the ball out of his hand only to pushed away and observed the destruction at the back of the board being broken.

After the death of Peter's uncle, Ben Parker, Flash genuinely felt empathy for Peter and for his loss. He attempted to talk to him, but Peter interpreted it as a attempt to bully him and pinned him up towards his locker. Instead, Flash admitted he knew it had been hard for Peter to cope with his loss.

After the emergence of Spider-Man, Flash started to wear shirts with him on it. After The Lizard was stopped, Flash admitted his positive thoughts towards the masked hero.

  • In a deleted scene of The Amazing Spider-Man 2, Flash was congratulating Gwen Stacy after the Midtown High graduation ceremony. He was also seen hugging Peter afterwards and told him he loved him. Peter was stunned by the gesture, but returned it fully, telling Flash he loved him, too.
