  • Peter’s parents die. Peter is taken to social services to Uncle Ben’s house. Where he meets him and Aunt May. Ben treated him like a son.[1]
  • Peter believed that his parents were secret agent due to the comic books he used to read and he used those books to cope with his parents death. Uncle Ben would tell the young boy “You want to talk to your folks son. Well there in heaven now but they can see you, they can see what you’re doing and there watching you all the time”. Uncle Ben encouraged him to keep a journal to write to his parents.[2]

  • Peter meets Mary Jane while she and her family move into her driveway. He asks Ben and May if she's an angel.
  • J. Jonah Jameson is promoted to Editor of Chief of The Daily Bugle.

1992[]

  • Mary Jane plays Cinderella in second grade which Peter still remembers in 2002.

1995[]

  • General Slocum, Maximilian Fargas and others perform a successful coup on Oscorp Industries. Slocum lands a deal to get him and Max a position at the Board.
  • Norman signs a contract deal with Otto Octavious to make him join Oscorp. Otto becomes a free agent.

1999[]

  • The photo that is shown in Peter's bedroom in 2002 of him, his Uncle Ben and Aunt May is estimated to be taken around this time.

2001[]

  • Norman and Stromm perform performance enhancers. They start testing on rats which causes them to go insane and kill each other.
  • Peter writes a school project on Nano Technology which makes Ben and May proud.

  • Ben is laid off from his electrician job by his boss along with many of the other workers. He's still hunting for jobs to provide for Peter.

  • Peter Parker meets first time Norman Osborn, Norman begins talking with Parker about the science.[3]
  • Peter is bit by a genetically altered super-spider, which gives him developing unnatural powers, leading to him becoming Spider-Man, but keeps this identity hidden from everyone.
  • Norman injects himself with the Goblin Serum formula to ensure that Oscorp gets the military contract. However, the formula creates an unhinged and psychotic alter ego called the Green Goblin, who takes control of Norman's mind and brainwashes him into coming crimes.

  • Norman reveals himself as Goblin to Peter after being defeated by Peter, much to the latters shock.
  • Goblin attempts to kill Spider-Man with his glider, but Spider-Man jumps out of the way, leading to Norman and Goblin being impaled and then killed as a result.
    • Just as he is about to die, Norman begs Peter not to tell Harry.

  • Harry believes Spider-Man killed his father, so he becomes bent on getting his revenge. In his funeral, Harry vows that Spider-Man will pay

2004[]

April[]

  • Peter Parker is struggling to balance his double life as Spider-Man and his normal civilian life. He loses a job at Joe's Pizza, faces financial difficulties and struggles to maintain his grades at Columbia University.
  • Peter is told by his professor, Curt Connors that if he does not get his research done on time or turn to class on time, he will fail him. Peter sells photos of Spider-Man (himself) at the Daily Bugle.
  • Peter celebrates his 20th birthday at the Parker Residence with Harry Osborn, Mary Jane Watson and May Parker. Peter learns that Oscorp is funding Dr. Otto Octavius' work for fusion reaction and May is facing foreclosure from the bank. Peter promises Mary Jane to come to her play the next night.
  • Peter and Harry meet Octavius in his lab and are invited to the demonstration the following day. Peter washes his Spider-Man Suit and heads to Mary Jane's play, but is forced to catch two criminals from escaping in a car. This leads to him missing Mary Jane's play as a result of a Snooty Usher. Mary Jane meets John Jameson and dates him.
  • Peter swings off as Spider-Man and suffers a web block, which causes his webbing to stop shooting out, resulting him to fall onto a building and to awkwardly take an elevator.
  • After a failed call with Mary Jane, who is upset over Peter missing her play, Peter heads to the demonstration to witness Octavius' fusion reactor being tested. The experiment ends up in a failure, resulting Octavius' mechanical arms being fused to him, the death of Rosalie Octavius and the ruined reputation of Oscorp's funding.
  • Doctor Octopus' Campaign begins:
    • Attack at Manhattan General Hospital - The mechanical tentacles attack and kill several hospital staff and escape with Octavius to an abandoned warehouse.
    • Becoming influenced by the arms A.I and (possibly) by brain damage from the accident, Octavius vows to rebuild his device at all costs, becoming Doctor Octopus. The Daily Bugle dubs him Doc Ock for short.
    • Robbery at the Manhattan Bank - Doctor Octopus robs the bank to fund for his experiments and fights Spider-Man. Spider-Man saves May Parker from Doctor Octopus, who escapes with the money, total of $2 million and a manhunt for Doc Ock ensues. Doctor Octopus begins rebuilding his device.
  • Peter attends a formal as a photographer at the Rose Center for Earth and Space. Harry gets drunk over the ruined reputation of Oscorp's funding, John Jameson attends the formal as the man of honor, with Mary Jane. John and Mary Jane get engaged, leaving Peter upset.
  • Spider-Man suffers another web block and loses his powers due to an emotional breakdown. He checks with a doctor, who tells him it is due to stress. Peter reflects over his doubled life and gives up being Spider-Man, throwing his suit in the trash bin. The suit is later picked up by a garbage man and takes it to the Daily Bugle, Jameson keeps the suit on a wall.

May[]

  • Peter managed to make up for his declined grades and attends Mary Jane's play. He talks with her and learns she is getting married to John Jameson in a church.
  • Peter and May attend the memorial for Ben Parker's death that occurred two years ago and Peter musters up the courage to tell May he was responsible for Ben's death, including how he wanted to earn some money to buy a car to impress Mary Jane. May was let down but she later forgives him after seeing how brave he was for telling the truth.
  • Doctor Octopus completes his second fusion reactor and needs more tritium to fuel it. He goes to Harry Osborn, who at first refuses but relents when Doctor Octopus attempts to drop him from his penthouse. He offers him the tritium if he brings Spider-Man to him, with help from Peter Parker, who is supposedly friends with Spider-Man. Doctor Octopus agrees.
  • The crime rate goes up to 75% in New York City. Peter saves a little girl from a burning building but when the fire is out, he learns that a person got trapped on the fourth floor and never made out, making him extremely guilty for not trying to save that person.
  • May decides to move to a small apartment in Manhattan when the bank gave her another few weeks to pay the rents. She gives an inspirational speech to Peter, including how much the city is noticing his absence. He retakes the mantle as Spider-Man, but his powers fail to return when he attempts to jump from one building to another, making him hurt his back.
  • Mary Jane decides to talk to Peter about what he said to her the other day and asks if he loves her. When he says he doesn't to ensure her safety, Doctor Octopus suddenly arrives and throws a car through the cafe window. He orders Peter to find Spider-Man and to tell him to meet Doctor Octopus at the Westside Tower at 3pm. Then, he abducts Mary Jane to lure Spider-Man into a trap. Peter's powers return and he dons his costume again, by stealing it from the Bugle.
  • Spider-Man confronts Doctor Octopus on the Westside Tower before the fight moves to a subway train. Doctor Octopus destroys the brakes, leaving Spider-Man to rescue the runaway train. Spider-Man successfully stops the train, but it leaves him exhausted as Doctor Octopus returns and captures him.
  • After Doctor Octopus delivers Spider-Man to Harry, he is provided with the tritium which is larger than the previous one. Harry discovers that Spider-Man is his best friend Peter, and tells him of Doctor Octopus' whereabouts.
  • Spider-Man tracks Doctor Octopus in his hideout and engages in a fight with him. Stunning him with an electric shock, Spider-Man fails to switch off the fusion reactor which is growing unstable. Spider-Man reveals his identity to Doctor Octopus and persuades him to turn the machine off. Dr. Octavius returns to his senses and in an act of redemption for his crimes, drowns the reactor in the river along with himself.
  • Peter saves Mary Jane, who discovers his dual identity and finally understands why he cannot be with her, because of his future enemies. He returns her to John Jameson and swings off.
  • Doctor Octopus' Campaign ends.
  • Harry sees a hallucination of his father, who orders him to avenge him by killing Peter, but Harry refuses. He discovers his father's hidden lair where all of the Green Goblin's equipment is stored there.
  • Mary Jane leaves John Jameson at the altar, heads to Peter's apartment and reveals her feelings for him. She tells him that she wants to be with him, no matter what risks can be caused. Peter accepts this and they begin a relationship just as police sirens are heard. Mary Jane encourages him to go and fight for justice.

2005[]

June[]

  • Peter has finally managed to balance his double life as Spider-Man and his civilian life. He is still at the top of his class and has become friends with Gwen Stacy. However, he is estranged from his best friend, Harry Osborn, who believes he killed his father and refused to talk to him.
  • Mary Jane Watson performed her Broadway debut, with Peter in the front row and Harry in the back row. Peter and MJ head out on a date in the park. A meteorite landed nearby and an alien substance latched itself onto Peter's moped after sensing his mutated blood scent. Peter drops MJ home to her apartment and drove to visit his Aunt May about his plans to marry MJ. May supported him and gave him her wedding ring as a gift to Mary Jane.
  • Flint Marko escaped from prison to see his daughter, Penny Marko and had an estranged talk with his ex-wife, Emma Marko before fleeing. Flint later tried escaping from the police but fell into a particle accelerator that fused sand particles to his cells, transforming him into the Sandman. He used his sand powers to resort to crime to support for his sick daughter's treatment.
  • Harry Osborn takes the Goblin Formula and becomes the New Goblin, ready to avenge his father's death.
    • The New Goblin attacks Peter Parker, who was on his way home from May's apartment. The two fight until Harry suffers amnesia, making him forget Peter was Spider-Man and his vendetta against him. Peter takes Harry to the hospital and pays him a visit, along with Mary Jane.
  • Mary Jane decided to go out to dinner with Peter at the Restaurant Constellation, which Peter planned to propose to her there. Mary Jane became dejected over wide criticism for her play from newspaper reviews. She later found out she was fired and replaced by a different actress, making her even more dejected.
  • Peter, as Spider-Man, saved Gwen Stacy from falling to her death after a malfunctioning crane caused damage to a building. Spider-Man met Eddie Brock, the new photographer for the Daily Bugle, and found him annoying. Peter later sent photos to the Bugle to J. Jonah Jameson, who already accepted Brock's photos. Peter becomes rivals with Brock after Jameson offers them a desk job.
  • Peter became slightly overconfident due to his success as Spider-Man after he found out he was given the Key to the City. He attended a ceremony hosted by the citizens of New York to thank Spider-Man. He kissed Gwen at the parade, but only as a stage performance to the public, but Mary Jane believed he was pushing her away and her relationship with him got worsened.
  • Sandman attempted to rob a bank truck, but was thwarted by Spider-Man, who despite his efforts was easily defeated by Sandman, due to his powers.
  • Peter tried to make his proposal plan go well with Mary Jane, but things don't go as planned when Mary Jane accused him of kissing Gwen. Peter tried to explain why he did it and he had no intention of pushing her away. Mary Jane leaves and their relationship became strained. The next day, Peter tried calling MJ but she deliberately won't answer.
  • The New York City Police Department called Peter and May to inform them about the real killer of Ben Parker. Peter became upset and vengeful over this and refused any help from May or Mary Jane, due to being upset over not being told about this for three years.
  • The black alien substance bonded with Peter, changing his suit to black and enhancing his powers to a higher level. Peter brought a sample of the substance to Dr. Curt Connors, who discovered it was a symbiote which needed to bond to a host to survive and could be hard to unbond.
  • Spider-Man, in his new black suit, learned that the Sandman had robbed a bank and was in the sewers. He followed him and engaged in a duel with him. Due to being under control of the black suit, Spider-Man fought Sandman relentlessly and reduced him to mud, after exposing him to water. Peter told May about what happened, who said to him that Uncle Ben would never wanted revenge which made Peter realizes it didn't count as revenge wouldn't make things better.
  • Mary Jane got a job as a waitress and singer at The Jazz Room and feeling alone, found solace in Harry. Later on, Harry regained his memory and blackmailed MJ to break up with Peter to "attack his heart". Harry witnessed the event and later told Peter about Mary Jane getting fired and being "the other guy".
  • Donning his black suit, Peter confronted Harry at his penthouse and the two fight relentlessly, due to a vengeful Harry and the symbiote controlling Peter. The battle ended when Harry got disfigured after a Pumpkin Bomb was blown back at him when he attempted to throw it at the symbiote-possessed Peter.
  • Eddie Brock sold a photo depicting Spider-Man robbing a bank in his black suit. Peter found out the photo was a fake after Brock plagiarized his photos. Jameson, Robbie Robertson and Betty Brant discovered this from Peter and a retraction is published, while Brock is fired from his job and humiliated as a result.
  • The Sandman escaped the sewers and self-reformed his body, before vengefully going after to take down Spider-Man, tired of him getting in his way.
  • Still under the control of the symbiote, Peter took Gwen to the Jazz Room to make MJ jealous. Gwen found out and apologized to Mary Jane before leaving. Peter fought a bouncer who attempted to throw him out and struck Mary Jane. Horrified by this, Peter realizes the symbiote was changing him for the worse and making those he loved suffer as it did to him.
  • Spider-Man reflected over his terrible behavior's before heading to a church to remove the symbiote. The bell's chime weakened the symbiote and Peter rejected it. The symbiote bonded to its second host, Eddie Brock, who was at the church praying for Peter's death, transforming him into the monstrous Venom.
  • Peter returned to his apartment, showering himself clean and becomes dejected over the revelations he had been having. May came to visit him and told him despite everything that happened, he can still put things right with Mary Jane, making him feel more comfortable.
  • Eddie Brock slowly got used to the symbiote after being overwhelmed by it. Eddie discovered Peter was Spider-Man after the symbiote granted him access to Peter's memories and replicating Peter's powers. Becoming Venom, he joined on the symbiote's mission to kill Spider-Man for rejecting it and for his humiliation. He found Sandman and formed an alliance to take down Spider-Man.
    • Battle at the Construction Site - Mary Jane is abducted by Venom, making her realize the black suit was responsible for these events and Peter was not to blame. She was held hostage at a construction site and Peter suited up as Spider-Man to save her and defeat both villains. He asked for Harry's help, who refused but he later found out Peter did not kill his father; he was impaled by his own glider. Spider-Man is overpowered by Sandman and Venom, but the reformed New Goblin arrived to save him.
    • Spider-Man and New Goblin saved Mary Jane, defeating Sandman before dueling with Venom. Spider-Man tried to redeem Venom, who refused and stated his enjoyed his villainy. Venom attempted to impale Spider-Man with New Goblin's glider, but New Goblin in an act of selflessness, sacrificed himself to save Spider-Man. Venom is weakened by the sounds of pipes clanging together and ripped away from the symbiote by Spider-Man. Then, Spider-Man throws a Pumpkin Bomb into the symbiote to prevent it from bonding with anyone else but Eddie jumped back into it, vaporizing them both.
  • Sandman approached Spider-Man and let go of his vengeance toward him, instead confessing why he was resorting to crime and that the death of Peter's uncle was an accident he wishes he could take back. Spider-Man forgave Sandman and allowed him to escape peacefully. Spider-Man and Mary Jane sit beside Harry as he died in their arms after mending his friendship with both of them.
  • Following Harry's funeral, Peter and Mary Jane renew their relationship and share a dance together at the dance club.

2005 (post June)-2024[]

  • Over the years, Peter and Mary Jane were able to make their complicated relationship work, despite Peter's double life.
  • Peter thought about making an anti Goblin serum for Norman Osborn.
