Joseph "Robbie" Robertson is a supporting character in the Spider-Man comics by Marvel. He was created by Stan Lee and John Romita Sr. in 1967. In the 1977 film The Amazing Spider-Man he was portrayed by then actor Hilly Hicks. The character was used only in the movie and was not reprised for the subsequent television series.
Robertson is an editor at the New York newspaper The Daily Bugle and a close confidant of publisher J. Jonah Jameson. He is also friendly and supportive of Peter Parker and his secret alter-ego Spider-Man than other Bugle staff members. In the film, Robertson is decades younger than his comic counterpart, portrayed as being in his late 20's/ early 30's.
