Frances Barrison also known as Shriek is the secondary antagonist of Venom Let There Be Carnage. she is Cletus Kassidy childhood girlfriend but was taken from him which led them both to be vengeful and mistreated.

Biography

when Frances was young, she was sent to St. Estes Home for Unwanted Children due to her disorder sonic screams. later after witnessing Cletus Cassidy being bullied by other children, she wounded their ears and started a new friendship. later she was sent to Ravencroft but not before she used her screams on young Patrick mulligan witch also costed her eye.

later she spends all her life in Ravencroft while being abused by a cruel physiatrist. later she was rescued by Cletus Cassidy & Carnage (while strangling the physiatrist as punishment for her abused nature). despite this carnage takes more or less disliking with Frances due to her loud tone but soon nick name her Shriek, while Cletus tries to warn Frances not to scream for assist again because he rather handles this fight by himself. later they destroyed St. Estes and plot to have a wedding/executing funeral with three gusts who are responsible to their lives including Patrick Mulligan, Eddie Brock & Venom. Carnage successfully Mulligan for Frances. after she failed to find Brock instead, she kidnaps Anne Weying knowing that he and Venom will come for her as ransom. later when venom arrived, Shriek once again scream Infront of carnage while she tries to weaken venom in order to kill them both. but carnage warns her to be quiet but instead order her to finish off mulligan instead. later she finally killed him. soon venom killed shriek himself by pushing her down the cathedral when her last screams weaken them both carnage and venom (while pieces of it absorbs mulligan). Eddie successfully got Venom. Cletus tries to get Carnage after seeing with Frances dead he has no other option but to be with carnage again. but only for venom to devour them both.

Trivia

• Unlike in the comics where shriek wears a black suit and has a white skin face while containing cosmic blast. she African with echo disorder but she did wear a black jacket during her wedding.
• Most fans thought shriek will become symbiote scream.
• She was crushed to death by a bell which is a reference from Pixar Coco. while despite Anne Weying almost died the same way as Gwen Stacy did, instead shriek took her place when she was the one who fell and died that night while being crushed by a bell.
• She is the fourth African American to be a villain since Electro, Shocker and Prowler.
