Peter B. Parker, also known as Spider-Man, was a vigilante with spider-like abilities who spent years of his superhero career-saving civilians, but since his life had taken a toll on his body, his conditions had left him a little worse for wear these days. Peter never wanted to be a mentor, but training Miles Morales, an all-new Spider-Man, ends up giving Peter a new positive outlook on life.

History[]

Peter B. Parker was bitten by a radioactive spider and became imbued with its powers. He lived a relatively good life as Spider-Man. Saving people, fighting his rogues gallery, getting married to Mary Jane Watson and more. However, unlike Peter in Miles Morales' dimension, this Peter suffered a major setback in that he had no idea how to perfectly balance his life. He began to save the city "too much" and did not have time to save his personal life. Aunt May died and there was nothing he could do about it. He was scared of committing to the idea of starting a family with Mary Jane and ultimately their marriage fell apart with them finally divorcing. He tried to jump-start a food franchise called T"GI Spidey's "in order to keep himself afloat, but this backfired when the restaurant was shut down. Peter was essentially broke and living in a deteriorating apartment and had gained some weight.

One day, Peter was relaxing in his apartment, eating pizza (or as he put it, working out), when a strange portal opened up above him and he was sucked in. He flew across dimensions and upon landing in another one similar to his own, the legs of his costume were tattered and destroyed and he found himself in a dimension where he was blond haired, blue-eyed and dead. Needless to say, Peter was confused and he was forced to find sweatpants a trench coat and shoes that ended up being mismatched. He wandered into the graveyard where he was buried and found a young boy in a cheap Halloween Spider-Man costume. The young boy ended up being Miles Morales and he accidentally scared him into zapping him with his venom blast. Peter was unconscious, but Miles was not going to leave him and thus was forced to drag and carry him away from the approaching police. Miles flew through the city using Peter's web-shooters and managed to outrun the cops, though both were tired and badly bruised.

Becoming a Mentor[]

Peter found himself tied up to a punching bag with Miles attempting to interrogate him. Peter was unimpressed however as he knew that Miles was new to his powers and that he could not hold a candle to him. Miles managed to deduce that Peter was from another dimension, but he escapes from his ropes and leaves the building.

Personality[]

Having been Spider-Man for over twenty years with various setbacks in his life, Peter is left emotionally crippled and jaded as a result. He copes with his problems with excessive eating as he put on some noticeable weight. Still, while initially reluctant, Peter still decided to take the young Miles Morales under his wing to teach him how to be Spider-Man. As Peter told Miles, being Spider-Man is not something that comes easy, but is rather something that comes from abandoning doubt and taking a leap of faith. Despite being tentative, Peter is still selfless in his superhero work, willing to accept the responsibilities to the point where he can sacrifice himself for the sake of others.

Powers and Abilities[]

  • Spider Physiology: Peter was bitten by a radioactive spider and gained the proportionate physical abilities of a spider. He has 22 years of experience.
    • Superhuman Strength: Peter has the inhuman strength of a spider, and can support the weight of a bus without any perceivable difficulty. • Superhuman Durability: Peter is highly resilient to injury, as he survived Miles' venom strike. He once broke his back falling onto the sidewalk, but he recovered. A drone also once flew into his face while he was swinging on his webs.
